Every year, hundreds of students make the Times Higher UK University of the year 2012, the University of Strathclyde, their first choice. But it's also because Strathclyde is a friendly and forward-thinking university based in the heart of Glasgow, one of Europe's finest cities. Strathclyde has four faculties - Engineering, Science, Business and Humanities and Social Sciences. Each of them at the heart of cutting edge technology. We are continuing our tradition of excellence with an investment of £350 million in our dynamic, digital campus over the next decade. This includes the development of our world-leading Technology and Innovation Centre, which will transform the way universities and industry collaborate to bring global competitive advantage to Scotland. The Centre will bring together academics, researchers and project managers from the University and its leading industrial partners to work side-by-side in a state-of-the-art building in the heart of Glasgow. Opening in 2014, the Centre reflects Strathclyde's commitment to finding solutions to challenges in sectors central to economic regeneration in Scotland and further afield.
