Academic English Studies at Lewis & Clark provides intermediate to advanced academic English coursework for students preparing for undergraduate and graduate studies at Lewis & Clark and all U.S. universities, as well as for career development. English courses taught in Academic English Studies at Lewis & Clark are content-based, offering advanced level students opportunities to engage with course content similar to that taught in undergraduate courses. Lewis & Clark is a small liberal arts college with a public conscience, a residential campus with global reach. Students and faculty throughout all three of Lewis & Clark’s schools—the College of Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School of Education and Counseling, and the Law School—pursue new ways of knowing by combining classic liberal learning with pioneering collaboration.
