Willamette's Full-Time MBA programs are specifically designed to prepare students for their first professional career position, career change or advancement. In just 21 months, Willamette MBA students learn the core principles of general management, refine their career interests, develop an in-depth understanding of one or more career areas of interest, and build the portfolio of experience needed to succeed in a competitive job market. The Early Career MBA is designed for recent college graduates and applicants with limited work experience who are seeking their first professional position or career change. Previous work experience is not required. Willamette's MBA for Career Change is designed for students who have at least two years of post-bachelor degree professional work experience in a management or a functional area who are seeking career change or advancement. Willamette's MBA programs emphasize experiential learning or "learning by doing." Internships, consulting projects for real clients, case studies, simulations, innovative experiential elective courses (including student investment fund, ethics in business awards, new ventures to launch, design thinking, venture investing, etc.), PACE Projects and a complete program of career services build the knowledge and experience employers value. Each program format is designed to meet the needs of specific groups of students, from those just completing their undergraduate degree to those with more significant work experience. All formats include the distinctive Willamette MBA curriculum and a hands-on learning experience and all are accredited for business by AACSB International.
