About

- The American English Language Program (AELP) at NKU is an intensive language program that helps to develop students’ skills and confidence in English. - 25 hours of class instruction per week in the areas of Grammar, Writing, Reading, Speaking, and Listening. - Prepares students to live, study, and work in an English language environment. - Gives students many opportunities to interact with Americans and English language speakers around campus between classes, in student organizations, and in the evenings. - Helps students improve test-taking skills to pass the IELTS, TOEFL, and other academic exams. - 15-to-1 student-to-teacher average class size allows for extra attention, flexibility, and individualized instruction. - Graduation from our six-level program entitles students to enter NKU’s undergraduate degree program. AELP Instructors: All of our instructors have Education degrees and several years of ESL teaching experience. We are committed to providing you with excellent ESL education using the latest teaching materials and methods available. Most importantly, we enjoy teaching English to international students and appreciate the exchange of ideas and cultures during the language-learning process. Convenient Class Schedule: Classes are held in semester sessions.
