Whitireia is a Government owned and funded tertiary institute of technology, establisehd in 1986 on the shores of the Porirua harbour. We offer around 130 programmes from Certificate, diploma, degree and postgraduate levels in Information technology, Business, Cookery, Hospitality, Visual arts, Health science, Nursing and English, etc. There are 8,000 international and domestic students, who now study at one of 7 campuses in Auckland, Wellington, Porirua and Kapiti. All of our programmes have been developed in conjunction with industry, to offer excellent applied qualifications.
