SGH Warsaw School of Economics established in 1906 as the Private Courses of Commerce for Men. It is the oldest university of economics in Poland and one of the leading universities of economics in Europe. Every year, SGH bestows about 1200 Bachelor and 1600 Master titles. Statistically, every third economist in the 20th century was an alumnus of the SGH.
Education at SGH is appreciated by students, employers and accreditation institutions. The career path developed in cooperation with Ernst&Young was awarded with the prestigious ACCA (The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) certificate. Four faculties – Economy, Law and Economics (Erasmus Mundus), Quantitative Methods in Economics and Information Systems as well as Finance and Accounting – were distinguished by the Polish Accreditation Committee. Such a distinction may be granted to a given faculty at only one school in the country.
In 2011, SGH received the IQA (International Quality Accreditation) certificate granted by the CEEMAN organization, confirming the highest level of education in the area of management.
